Novartis Building 101
East Hanover, New Jersey
Sordoni Construction was contracted to perform an interior renovation of the 1st Floor of Building 101 located at the Novartis East Hanover, New Jersey Campus. The Building is currently in use by Novartis therefore one of the major project objectives was to limit the disruption to Novartis’ personnel during construction. The areas that was reconstructed included high-end office spaces and conference rooms totaling approximately 20,000sf. This was a fast track project with demolition and construction being completed within 8-weeks.
Pfizer
Pearl River, New York
Sordoni Construction was selected as Construction Manager at the Pfizer Pearl River, New York facility to construct a fast track multi-project infrastructure upgrade. Working with 50% documents Sordoni “Partnered” with Pfizer corporate, Pfizer end users, the A/E team and subcontractors so as to initiate work immediately while maintaining quality and schedule. Sordoni’s team mobilized simultaneously in four separate buildings renovating and upgrading research laboratories, office areas and critical data center support space. The multiple space renovation totaling 85,000 sf, included new plumbing, electrical, new air handling units and HVAC upgrades, medical gases, casework and interior finishes.
Novartis Building 101
East Hanover, New Jersey
Sordoni Construction once again teamed with Novartis to perform the reconstruction of the Route 10 & Ridgedale Avenue Entrances on the Novartis, East Hanover campus. The project scope includes demolition, Sitework, Roadwork & Infrastructure. The East Hanover project will be completed in multiple phases with the Route 10 entrance being the first to start followed by the Ridgedale Avenue entrance after phase 3 of the Route 10 is completed. This project will stream line the entrance for Novartis staff along with all deliveries inbound and outbound to the campus.
Columbia University
Columbia, New Jersey
Sordoni Construction has been selected as Construction Manager for the Renovation of Biology & Paleo-Env. Labs (BPE), New Core Lab Bldg. 2nd Floor project. This project is currently in the preconstruction phase with construction anticipated to start in the Summer of 2011.
Confidential Pharmaceutical Client - Security Command Center
USA
Sordoni constructed a state of the art Security Command Center for a confidential pharmaceutical company. The facility will serve as the security headquarters for all of the company's North American sites. Sordoni completed the fast tracked project in only four months with a Design-Build approach. The project included a new HVAC system, UPS power, a 20' long video wall, and the integration of all of the site's security systems.
Hoffmann-La Roche Resident Construction Manager
Nutley, New Jersey
Hoffmann-La Roche, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical firms, has teamed with Sordoni Construction Co. to fill the role of their resident Construction Manager. Sordoni is involved with every facet of multiple and diverse projects from pre-construction, value engineering and estimating, to project scheduling, design development, construction, start-up and validation activities. Sordoni continues to be the pre-eminent construction manager in the pharmaceutical industry in the New Jersey and mid-Atlantic marketplace.
sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals - Scientific Archives
Bridgewater, New Jersey
Sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals has once again teamed with Sordoni Construction Co. to manage the conversion of its transgenic vivarium space into a new archive storage facility. Sordoni was responsible for the management of all aspects of construction ranging from pre-construction through commissioning for the project. The project was completed on time and under budget.
Vornado Realty Trust – South Hills Mall Re-Development Project
Poughkeepsie, New York
The nationally recognized owner and operator of commercial and retail properties, Vornado Realty Trust has contracted Sordoni Construction Co. to convert its existing 760,000 square foot mall into a one level open air facility of 560,000 square feet. In addition to the mall re-development project, additional services were provided to include the re-construction of the entire site for increased parking capacity, new site lighting, construction for future tenant spaces and new landscaping.
IKEA – Elizabeth New Jersey Remodel Project
Elizabeth, New Jersey
Sordoni Construction Co. is underway with the renovation of IKEA’s 352,000 square foot North American flagship store located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. As one of IKEA’s largest volume facilities in the world and operating on a 24/7 basis, Sordoni’s construction management team is deftly handling the complex coordination of all phases of construction activity around the store’s customer self-service, product displays, cafeteria-style restaurants, bistro, and children’s play area, without interruption. The project is currently on time and on budget.
sanofi-aventis Pharmaceutical - Data Center
Bridgewater, New Jersey
Sordoni Construction Co. was selected as construction manager to convert an existing office area to a new main data center that serves multiple campuses. Major equipment installations included new dry coolers on the roof with a structural steel platform, 30-ton CRAC units located in a mechanical corridor adjacent to the Data Center, 500 kVA UPS systems in new electrical support rooms and a new emergency generator. The project was completed on schedule, under budget, and with no impact to the adjacent Data Center that remained in operation throughout construction.
Toll Brothers City Living - 5th Street Lofts
Long Island City, New York
Toll Brothers City Living sought out Sordoni Construction Co. to assume, at midpoint of the project schedule, the CM responsibilities from the previous construction manager. Sordoni’s team of highly skilled professionals quickly and successfully brought the project to completion. The condominium footprint totals over 33,000 square feet and is surrounded by adjacent structures on the North and East sides. Meadowlands Xanadu - AEG Theater
East Rutherford, New Jersey
Meadowlands Management LLC secured the services of Sordoni Construction Co. to construct the AEG Theater facility located within the Meadowlands Xanadu Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The theater is comprised of a three story, 70,000 square foot area with stage, dance floor and fixed seating in a concrete stepped bowl structure. This dynamic and complex venue includes specialized acoustical isolation systems with unique and attractive finishes. It will be utilized for live concert performances and theater productions.
Monmouth University – Multi-Purpose Activity Center
West Long Branch, New Jersey
Monmouth University has retained Sordoni Construction Co. to provide program management services for their new Multi-Purpose Activity Center (MAC). The MAC, a 152,400 square foot facility, contains a multi-purpose gymnasium with 4,100 installed seats and a 200 meter, 6-lane indoor track. The new building will also be home to the University bookstore, the Monmouth University Athletics Hall of Fame, home and opposing locker rooms, educational and administrative areas, a new Varsity Club and a new Fitness Center.
Hoffmann-La Roche Building 76
Nutley, New Jersey
Sordoni commenced the fit-out of Hoffman-La Roche Building 76. The building is comprised of 15 floors, each consisting of approximately 17,000 square feet of space, with a mechanical penthouse on the roof level. This fast track project requires the skillful coordination of activities on multiple floors running concurrently to maintain the aggressive schedule. This project is designated to obtain LEED Silver Certification.
FMC Corporation– Princeton South Campus
Ewing, New Jersey
Sordoni’s team of lab construction specialists has secured the contract with FMC Corporation to construct its main research campus in Ewing, New Jersey. The campus will be comprised of two buildings, each containing offices and laboratories totaling over 110,000 square feet of space. Sordoni’s management team is working closely with FMC to gradually phase its existing facility into its new space so laboratory testing and quality control will not be compromised.
